We Serve God Alone.

“Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.” Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭24‬ ‭

So many times in life we feel that our sad times are permanent for our lives, but it is almost always inaccurate! If I’ve learned one thing in life it’s that every day there is a sunset, and although the rainy days we cannot see it, it is still there. That is how life is with God. Even when we cannot feel Him on dark days, He is still there. There is never a moment in life where God walks away. If we stay on the path that God has set before us, holding firmly to God and all of His glory then one day we will be rewarded for all a life lived for God! We all think of eternity as something that we can handle and decide on later, but that is far from true. How we live our lives daily is something we should focus on. We should strive each day to become the very best versions of ourselves for God. We aren't here to please the world, but to please God alone. If we spent as much time trying to please God as we do try to please those who see us on social media then imagine how much better versions of ourselves we would be! Never forget the master we are truly serving is God alone! Today live as though you are living for God alone, and live a life pleasing to God. Here are some verses to reflect on today.“We have been rescued from our enemies so we can serve God without fear,” Luke‬ ‭1‬:‭74‬ ‭“Then you will again see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.”” Malachi‬ ‭3‬:‭18‬ ‭“We serve God whether people honor us or despise us, whether they slander us or praise us. We are honest, but they call us impostors.”

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
