You’re Worthy!

“You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.” ‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭16‬ ‭

Today’s world teaches us to be insecure about our weight, height, acne, the way we dress, do our makeup, talk, and even live our lives. The thing we forget is none of those things matter in the end, what we are truly worth is not defined by any of those things. Our worth is found in God, not in man or any material thing. If God created us from dust then how could something that was created the same way as we were worth more than what we are? Our personality is what shines bright, when we work at having a relationship with God the fruits of our spirits grow, and we begin to see more of God shine out through us. If you meet someone and you can just see the light of God shining from them doesn’t it make you think they’re amazing and want to be around them more? I know it does me! The fruit that we bare through Christ is what truly matters! It is the things people notice about us, our joy, peace, patience, and all the rest of the good fruits of God through us. Those are what make our value in Christ even higher. Next time you feel like you aren’t worth it, remember that your worth is found in God alone. Never let anyone change the good things about you or make you feel less because the One who created you loves you. When God created the whole world each day He ended the day by saying, “and He saw that it was good”, but when He created humans He finished the day by saying, “and He saw that it was very good.” He was proud of how He made you! He made you in His image! Today if you happen to notice those things you’re insecure about, stop for a moment, and remember that God loves you just how He made you and thinks you are beautiful just how you are! Here are some verses to perfect today. “Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good! And evening passed and morning came, marking the sixth day.” Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭31‬ ‭ “So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭27‬ ‭ “You are altogether beautiful, my darling, beautiful in every way.” Song of Songs‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬ ‭ “Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.”Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3‬:‭11‬ ‭

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
