Being Content.

“Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have.” Philippians‬ ‭4:11‬ ‭

Learning to be patient and content in all situations is something we all struggle with. We are all guilty of wanting more than we currently have, and the world today teaches us that we need expensive things to fit in. We all are capable of having something that no amount of money can buy and it is the most important thing in the world, that is the Holy Spirit. See being content with what you have has to start with being grateful for the things that money cannot buy such as your salvation, your happiness, your freedom, love, and forgiveness. When you realize these things cannot be bought that is when your life begins to change. The Bible teaches us to learn to be content no matter what stage of life we are in. You never have to let someone judge you, or judge yourself by the things you have or don't have. We are not defined by the clothes we wear, the cars we drive, the money we have, or the houses we live in. Instead, we are defined by our attitudes and the Fruits of the Spirit that we show. Today, remind yourself to be content with the season you're in, whether it be a season of hardship or a season of overflowed blessings either way you are learning and growing. God never sends you into a season alone, but He does teach you something out of it. You are worth more than money can buy, and the best things in life are not bought instead they are felt but the best of all died on the cross 2,000 years ago for our sins and rose again 3 days later. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.”” Hebrews‬ ‭13:5‬ ‭ “I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little.” Philippians‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭ “Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth.” 1 Timothy‬ ‭6:6‬ ‭ “So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content.” ‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭6:8‬ ‭
