He Came To The Well For You!

“For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”” John‬ ‭4‬:‭24‬ ‭

The story of the woman at the well begins with her just going to get water, but she gets so much more than that. She got an everlasting heart full of joy. She had been married five times, and the man she was with was not her husband. Jesus asked her for a drink although He did not care about her past or present troubles. She gave Him a drink of water from a well, but He gave her everlasting living water. He knew her past and everything she had done, and He told her everything she had ever done although this was the first time He had ever met her. He freed her from it all because He is a God of forgiveness. This simple act of one person spread to many, she went and told the whole town of all that Jesus had done for her. That is one of the best things about God is He knows our past, our present, and all the things we would never tell anyone but He forgives us for all of it. She saw herself as filthy but Jesus saw her as forgiven. Lay it at the cross every shameful thing you have done or struggle with, and let God fill your heart with His everlasting love and forgiveness. The living water of Jesus will never fail to cleanse us. Today the mistakes you've made are so small compared to God's great things for you. He didn't come to the well that day for water, He came to the well for you. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Then Jesus explained: “My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work.” John‬ ‭4‬:‭34‬ ‭ “Then they said to the woman, “Now we believe, not just because of what you told us, but because we have heard him ourselves. Now we know that he is indeed the Savior of the world.”” John‬ ‭4‬:‭42‬ ‭ ““But sir, you don’t have a rope or a bucket,” she said, “and this well is very deep. Where would you get this living water?” John‬ ‭4‬:‭11 ‬ “(When he said “living water,” he was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him. But the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not yet entered into his glory.)” John‬ ‭7‬:‭39‬ ‭
