How To Deal With Rejection.
“We can make our own plans, but the Lord gives the right answer.” Proverbs 16:1
Being rejected can hurt us badly, whether it is from a guy, a girl, a job application, a home offer, or anything else you can think of. It hurts but often times it is for the best. You often aren't rejected due to not being good enough, sometimes it is due to not being a part of God's will for your life. If you've been praying for something in your life and you feel as though God has rejected you on it, please know that sometimes what seems like rejection from Him is actually a redirection. Being redirected by God is a miracle in disguise. Imagine if God let us go down every path we thought was best for our lives to only let us see that it was a mistake. We would end up on some bad paths that would oftentimes leave us broken by our thoughts of what was "best" for us. God's plans are always better than our own. The way to deal with rejection from humans is a little more difficult than understanding how God has our best interests in mind. Others rejecting you is oftentimes part of God's plan also. If you dated every person you ever liked you might have ended up with the wrong person, if you got the house you thought was perfect you might end up having to do more work on it than thought, if you got that car you wanted so desperately it could break down the day after you got it, if you got the job you thought was perfect you might not end up getting offered your dream job instead. Anytime you're rejected from anything in life look at it as a redirection as something better is waiting for you. Today, take life's redirection as something to be grateful for. God's plans are great for you, even when life disappoints you. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Now all glory to God, who is able to make you strong, just as my Good News says. This message about Jesus Christ has revealed his plan for you Gentiles, a plan kept secret from the beginning of time.” Romans 16:25 “The Lord detests evil plans, but he delights in pure words.” Proverbs 15:26 “And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth.” Ephesians 1:10 “Plans go wrong for lack of advice; many advisers bring success.” Proverbs 15:22
