Jesus is literally PRICELESS!
“For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.” 1 Timothy 6:10
Money is obviously a necessity in our lives today for food, bills, and other needs, but we should not let it control us. If we think money is what makes us who we are then we are wrong. Money does not define a person. Whether a person is rich or poor does not change their relationship with God or how they treat people. If they chose to let money control them it can change them. I’m sure we all have been through times when we struggled but we did not let money control who we were as a person. Money is something that wants control over us instead of us controlling it. The enemy uses money so many times to bribe us. I use to think that all famous people were perfect. As I have gotten older I’ve realized some of them were changed by the money that they would make and would turn into not-so-godly people. It’s not very hard to look around and see the evil of people today in this world. Most people think money makes them cool, and it is nice to have things that we truly want but that doesn’t mean that we need those things. Today keep your mind on Jesus remembering that is what truly matters. Nothing in this world can buy you happiness or fill the void in your heart like Jesus can. He died on the cross to save you from the sins you had not even committed yet. He is the definition of love and selflessness. He is worth more than any amount of money that could even think of having. Jesus loves you, let Him be the focus of your life, not earthly things! Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Those who love money will never have enough. How meaningless to think that wealth brings true happiness!”Ecclesiastes 5:10 ““No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.” Matthew 6:24 “They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb.” Psalms 19:10 “Others were given in exchange for you. I traded their lives for yours because you are precious to me. You are honored, and I love you.” Isaiah 43:4
