Your Flaws Do Not Define You!
“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.” Ephesians 2:8
Have you ever noticed in the Bible that God overlooks all of the flaws people have and uses them anyways? Let’s look at some of those, Abraham lied twice about his wife being his sister. He also gave into Sarah’s suggestion and gave birth to a child who was not the promised child for his life. At the end of the story, he leads many to the promised land and has the promised child with Sarah all although he didn’t wait. Then there is Moses who ran from God’s will for his life, shattered the first set of the 10 commandments, and even became angry a lot, but God used Moses for us to know the 10 commandments, to part the Red Sea and even the story of the burning bush. There is also Peter who got angry quickly and denied Jesus 3 times at the moment Jesus needed his closest friends the very most, but God still used him. He was even in the upper room for the day of Pentecost.
What I’m getting at from these three stories, God can use you no matter what baggage you carry. God does not care about your past, your insecurities, or your flaws. God is not looking for perfection, He is looking for you to simply make an effort. The enemy wants you to think that you can’t be used by God because of your flaws, but God will use you despite all of it! Do not listen to the lies of the enemy. What the enemy sent into your life to be used for evil, even his lies about all of the mistakes, insecurities, and flaws being too much God is going to use for your good in Him. Your ministry is built on the things that God has for you, not the things of your past! You just need to lean on God; He will work through you amazingly! God has never once left you and never will. Today make an effort for your relationship with God and don’t listen to the enemy about your flaws. The enemy is lying to you, God is going to use you greatly for His kingdom! You have a ministry God has for you, and you can fulfill it! Here are some verses to reflect on today. “May God pass on to you and your descendants the blessings he promised to Abraham. May you own this land where you are now living as a foreigner, for God gave this land to Abraham.”” Genesis 28:4 “He proclaimed his covenant—the Ten Commandments—which he commanded you to keep, and which he wrote on two stone tablets.” Deuteronomy 4:13 “Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Acts of the Apostles 2:38 “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” Romans 8:28
