Making Plans...

“We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.” Proverbs‬ ‭16‬:‭9‬ ‭

One thing we cannot do is force the outcome of what is meant for us. It doesn't matter how much we love someone we cannot make that person be the one meant for us, it doesn't matter if we want that job more than any other job if it isn't the job for us we will never be able to make it be the one, it doesn't matter if the house is your dream home if it isn't meant for you then you will never be able to make it your home, so many more things in life we so desperately want but maybe it just isn't meant for us. You cannot force what you want to become what you have. The Bible says, "We make our plans but the Lord determines our steps." When you want something go to God first about it because what God has for you will always be the best. Often times we chase things we know that aren't meant for us in desperation to fill a void we cannot seem to fill, once we realize that void can only be filled by God is when we start to go to God with our dreams before we make them a plan. Never make something a definite plan without asking God first. Know that when plans and dreams seem to fall through that it might just be God wrecking those before they wreck you. Trust God and know that His plans are greater than your own could ever be for you. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭16‬:‭3‬ ‭ “Better to have little, with godliness, than to be rich and dishonest.” Proverbs‬ ‭16‬:‭8‬ ‭ “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah‬ ‭29‬:‭11‬ ‭ “Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.” Proverbs‬ ‭16‬:‭3‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
