The Safety In The Storm.

“The name of the Lord is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe.” Proverbs‬ ‭18:10‬ ‭

Whatever you may be going through right now remember that God is using it to grow you. When spring comes we all love to see the flowers grow and the trees blossom, it's so beautiful but without rain that wouldn't be possible. We couldn't even have vegetables and fruit without rain. When life seems like it's pouring rain and nothing is going right remember that it takes some rain to make you grow. You will never be able to grow without the hard times. Take the battle you are facing, and let God strengthen and teach you through it. Whatever you have to go through during this time remember that God is just as good on the good days as He is on the bad ones. God is good even when life isn't. That is something we all have to see the good side of. We can't always blame God for the things we go through, but we can always run to Him and be safe. The Bible says that God is our strong fortress and the Godly can run to Him and are safe. If your life is in a season of storms and rain then think of God as the bridge you can pull under until the storm passes. Run to God until the storm passes and He will strengthen you. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalms‬ ‭91:1‬ ‭ “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe.” Psalms‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭ “Keep me safe, O God, for I have come to you for refuge.” Psalms‬ ‭16:1‬ ‭ “For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease.”Psalms‬ ‭91:3‬ ‭

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
