He Is Risen Indeed.
“Early on Sunday morning, as the new day was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went out to visit the tomb.” Matthew 28:1
Sunday is here. Jesus rolled out of the tomb with marks on His hands and feet. He was free and alive, He had conquered sin and death. That same power that brought Jesus back to life and freed us all from sin lives in us every day when we have the Holy Spirit living in us. We are able to experience Jesus' freedom every day if only we will accept it. I know Easter Sunday is a happy day for everyone but this Easter was kind of emotional for me. I was reminded that Jesus didn't have to go through with dying on the cross, He chose to. He wanted to give us forgiveness, He wanted us to come to live in Heaven with Him. We are so undeserving of His love but His mercy still renews daily for us. When we feel as though we have failed Him that is where mercy steps in, the mercy that He gives us daily even after the pain that He went through on that cross. You are forgiven, you are loved, you are chosen, you are worthy, you are blessed, you are a child of the One true King, you are saved by grace, and you are enough! Never doubt what God can do in three days look at Friday and look at today, all hope seemed lost but He showed up! Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Suddenly there was a great earthquake! For an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, rolled aside the stone, and sat on it.” Matthew 28:2 “Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.” Matthew 28:5 “He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying.” Matthew 28:6 “But in fact, Christ has been raised from the dead. He is the first of a great harvest of all who have died.” 1 Corinthians 15:20
