Be Loving And Kind.
“This is my command: Love each other.” John 15:17
To love like Jesus doesn't just mean to love your neighbors, your friends, your family, or the people that are good to you. Loving like Jesus means to love the person that hurt you the very most, to love those that have betrayed you, to love the people that talk about you, and most of all to love everyone you meet no matter their lifestyle choices. You can't expect to become more like Jesus and not love others with the same love Jesus had. Jesus loved the sinners, those who betrayed Him, and even those who mocked Him. When Jesus was being hung on the cross He said, "Lord, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing." He chose to forgive those that were mocking and betraying Him the most. Next time someone hurts you be kind and remind yourself to do what Jesus would do in the position you are in. Be slow to speak and slow to get angry at others remembering the patience that God has had with you. Today, be kind to everyone you see and show them love just as you would want anyone to do to you. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.” John 13:34 “Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other.” 1 John 4:11 “Finally, all of you should be of one mind. Sympathize with each other. Love each other as brothers and sisters. Be tenderhearted, and keep a humble attitude.”1 Peter 3:8 “Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud” 1 Corinthians 13:4
