Samson's Example.

“Finally, Samson shared his secret with her. “My hair has never been cut,” he confessed, “for I was dedicated to God as a Nazirite from birth. If my head were shaved, my strength would leave me, and I would become as weak as anyone else.””Judges‬ ‭16:17‬ ‭

As a kid hearing the story of Samson, I always thought his strength was literally from his hair, and although it says that it is a blessing from God to be technical. His hair was given to him by God and meant to be his strength. See to start the entire story off Samson was set apart before his birth, he had a huge purpose in God. Later on in life, Samson fell in love with Deliah, he eventually told her the secret to his strength being his hair could not be cut, and she betrayed him. She used his own secret against him to destroy him. See Samson followed his own fleshly desires to be with Delilah. If we constantly follow our flesh to be with someone we know we aren't meant for and they don't share the same belief as we do then it will never work. It's like the chasing of the wind. The thing about following your flesh no matter what the matter may be is it's only happiness for a moment, but Godly matters is a joy that lasts. You cannot follow your flesh and be used like you are meant to be. Samson is a wonderful example of why we should be so cautious of who we give our hearts to. The person God has designed for you will be after God's own heart as much as you are! You have to be picky when it comes to relationships because they can affect your ministry! We are called by God and we can't let someone stop us from that. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Then she cried out, “Samson! The Philistines have come to capture you!” When he woke up, he thought, “I will do as before and shake myself free.” But he didn’t realize the Lord had left him.” Judges‬ ‭16:20‬ ‭ “Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:12‬ ‭ “Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness?” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭6:14‬ ‭ “What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever?” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭6:15‬ ‭
