Stand Up For God!
“But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.” Matthew 10:33
Jesus died for each of us in public, He did not care that others mocked Him and hated Him. Why would we live a life for Him privately? If we constantly hide our faith and the way we love God, how are we being all God has called us to be? Sometimes in life, we let others' opinions of our faith change our perspective. We tend to want to hide the best thing that has ever happened to us from everyone: God's grace and love. We cannot expect God to do miracles for us in public when we aren't public about our faith. We are always expecting God to constantly be public for and about us but when it comes down to someone making fun of God we don't stand up for Him. We have to make sure we are standing up for God in front of anyone. I struggled for a long time to make sure that I put God first in front of everyone and make it known that I'm a Christian, but I realized that God wouldn't hide us if it came down to it, so why would I hide my faith? We need to make it public what we believe in. The Bible says if we deny Jesus then He will deny us in front of His Father in Heaven. We can't deny Jesus, and expect Him to stand up for us. Today no matter who you're around famous people, popular kids, judgemental co-workers, or even someone that makes fun of you for your beliefs stand up for God! Tell everyone you know you believe in Him and let it be known. You're a child of God and He will always protect you! Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Such people claim they know God, but they deny him by the way they live. They are detestable and disobedient, worthless for doing anything good.” Titus 1:16 “So never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord. And don’t be ashamed of me, either, even though I’m in prison for him. With the strength God gives you, be ready to suffer with me for the sake of the Good News.” 2 Timothy 1:8 “You rejected this holy, righteous one and instead demanded the release of a murderer.” Acts of the Apostles 3:14 “And who is a liar? Anyone who says that Jesus is not the Christ. Anyone who denies the Father and the Son is an antichrist.” 1 John 2:22
