The Enemy Used Judas, He Can Use You Too!
“It was time for supper, and the devil had already prompted Judas, son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus.”
John 13:2
Today is Wednesday of Holy Week, meaning this is the day of the week that Judas betrayed Jesus. Can you imagine getting paid around $250 in US dollars to sell the One who came to redeem you for all the mistakes you made? Judas did just that. Think about it, in today's world we can't even buy a smartphone for $250, we could buy a week's groceries for a family if that. That isn't enough to give our Savior away. How many times do we put God on the back burner to watch tv, play video games, read a book, talk to our friends, or even play on our phones? That is the same thing Judas did just in a different sense. See Judas chose to let the enemy control Him. The Bible clearly tells us that the devil used Judas. We think so many times in life that we are close with God because we are surrounding ourselves with the right people, but look at Judas, he spent years with Jesus every day and still was used by the enemy. It is important to be around good people with good morals but it's not enough to have a real relationship with God. You have to feed your spirit, the Bible teaches that we can not live on bread alone. The enemy wants to use us in every way that he can. We have to be firm in our faith and have a firm foundation with God. If Judas could be used by the enemy you can too, you have to make sure that you are fully plated by God. We can walk with God daily, and talk to Him daily but we also need to feed our spirit and stay in tune with God so that we can resist the devil. We are children of God and we need to live like it. Today, make sure to not only surround yourself with good people but fully plate yourself from the enemy and feed your Spirit as much as your physical body to not be used by the enemy as Judas was. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Then Satan entered into Judas Iscariot, who was one of the twelve disciples,” Luke 22:3 “When Judas had eaten the bread, Satan entered into him. Then Jesus told him, “Hurry and do what you’re going to do.”” John 13:27 “Then Judas threw the silver coins down in the Temple and went out and hanged himself.” Matthew 27:5 “When Judas, who had betrayed him, realized that Jesus had been condemned to die, he was filled with remorse. So he took the thirty pieces of silver back to the leading priests and the elders.”
Matthew 27:3
