The Faith Of A Friend.
“Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man, “My child, your sins are forgiven.”” Mark 2:5
So many times in life people will tell you that who you choose to surround yourself with and interact with is not important, but it is. This verse is a representation of how important it truly is. In this verse, we see that Jesus didn't heal the man because of his own faith, his family's faith, or even his good deeds. He was healed because of his friends' faith. It's important to have friends that pray over you, pray with you, and even pray for you when you don't ask them to. You need to be surrounded by people who uplift your Spirit not support your flesh. Your friend's faith might be the reason God answers your prayers, the question is how good is their faith? Will their faith be as big as a mustard seed? You have to make sure that the people you have around you are close to God to help your relationship with God grow also. I know Jesus was around sinners but that doesn't mean He chose to act as they acted. You can have friends in the world and not be in the world with them. Always use your Spirit as an example to them of how they should act, pray, and speak. Your faith might be the answer to their prayers also. Today, make sure you do have some friends that are in line with Christ, if not pray and ask God to send you some. I prayed for a Godly friend and God sent me just that, she prays over me, for me, with me, and silently even when I don't ask. It has helped my relationship with God grow even more, and it can yours too. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends.” Proverbs 17:9 “There are “friends” who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother.” Proverbs 18:24 “But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit,” Jude 1:20 “When Job prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes. In fact, the Lord gave him twice as much as before!” Job 42:10
