The Filled Void.

“So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.” Colossians‬ ‭2‬:‭10‬ ‭

So many times we try our hardest to fit in with everyone in this world and all their earthly desires. We think that if we can hang around popular people, join the right sports team, wear the best fashion, do makeup the best, and have the most attractive boyfriend or girlfriend, then the void in our hearts will be fulfilled. The truth is nothing in this world will satisfy our souls. The thing about it is that our souls are created by God, and the only person who could fully fill them up in Him. We waste so much time in our lives trying to fill our void with material things when we should just give our lives to Him in the first place. Today, I encourage you to stop letting the world try to fill a void that cannot be filled without God. Go to God and tell Him sincerely that you give your life, heart, and soul over to Him. Your soul was created to only be filled by God, but we have free will to choose the life we want to live on earth, but our eternity isn't something we can change after we choose the path we take. Choose the path of Jesus today, choose eternity with Him! Joy is found in Christ alone and that is the only place our souls will be filled up as they need to be. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭33‬ ‭ “It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.” Isaiah‬ ‭55‬:‭11‬ ‭ “Fear of the Lord leads to life, bringing security and protection from harm.” Proverbs‬ ‭19‬:‭23‬ ‭ “A hard worker has plenty of food, but a person who chases fantasies has no sense.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭12‬:‭11‬ ‭

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
