Be Careful!

““Of course we may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,” the woman replied.” Genesis‬ ‭3:2‬ ‭

We tend to be so quick to say that others don't have an impact on our decisions in life, that we don't let others help us make choices. The first person ever created was Adam, then his wife Eve. Eve was deceived by the serpent which was the devil in a form of a snake who told her to eat from the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil. God gave them one command and that was to not eat from the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil. The enemy deceived Eve which led her to deceive Adam to eat it also. When someone makes a bad choice that is close to us oftentimes they deceive us into doing it also. They will make us fall into sin like they are. It is so important to be close to those who are on the right path in life and have the same values and beliefs as you so that you will not slip into sin. Today, make sure you're being cautious as to whom you are around and are getting close to you, they might unknowingly or intentionally deceive you into sin. You have to be careful of who you spend time with and who you choose to surround yourself with. The saying "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer" is never a good thing in the spiritual life, you can only keep people close that are on the right path like you are so that you will not fall into sin. Be sure that you are picky with how you spend your time because you never know when people will tempt or pressure you into bad decisions. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “And to the man he said, “Since you listened to your wife and ate from the tree whose fruit I commanded you not to eat, the ground is cursed because of you. All your life you will struggle to scratch a living from it.” Genesis‬ ‭3:17‬ ‭ “If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It’s better to enter eternal life with only one hand than to go into the unquenchable fires of hell with two hands.” Mark‬ ‭9:43‬ ‭ “Think carefully about what is right, and stop sinning. For to your shame I say that some of you don’t know God at all.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:34‬ ‭ “He chooses evil people as companions. He spends his time with wicked men.” Job‬ ‭34:8‬ ‭
