Be A Good Samaritan.

““Then a despised Samaritan came along, and when he saw the man, he felt compassion for him.” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭10:33‬ ‭

As a kid, I heard the story of the good samaritan I could never understand why everyone walked past him and did not try to help. Even the priest and the Levite both respected men walked past him, and only one of three stopped to help that being a Samaritan. That is how life is a lot, people who we respect do not help us when we need them. It's sad but true. The story that Jesus told of this was a representation of how we should treat others, we should never pass the broken and lonely, we should help them instead. We should treat them with kindness regardless of their background. We should love them and give them all that we can. The good Samaritan bandaged the man up and paid for his care. He didn't think of what the man's past was, what he would owe him, or how the man would pay him back instead he helped him without expecting anything in return. When we help others it should be out of the kindness of our hearts, not about what they can give back to us. Today, do something nice for someone, be kind where it matters, and do a good deed without expecting anything in return. Treat others the exact same way you want to be treated. Don't just sit back and watch others be good to those in need, but get up yourself and go be a good Samaritan. If his bill runs higher than this, I’ll pay you the next time I’m here.’” Luke‬ ‭10:35‬ ‭ “The man replied, “The one who showed him mercy.” Then Jesus said, “Yes, now go and do the same.”” Luke‬ ‭10:37‬ ‭ “Do to others as you would like them to do to you.” Luke‬ ‭6:31‬ ‭ “Whoever pursues righteousness and unfailing love will find life, righteousness, and honor.” Proverbs‬ ‭21:21‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
