Faith Before You See The Rain!

“It was by faith that Noah built a large boat to save his family from the flood. He obeyed God, who warned him about things that had never happened before. By his faith Noah condemned the rest of the world, and he received the righteousness that comes by faith.” Hebrews‬ ‭11:7‬ ‭

‭Have you ever sat and watched a storm roll in? Sometimes it can be scary seeing the dark clouds roll in, but it can feel peaceful other times. I'm terrified of tornadoes, but I love the rain. When I see rain clouds come I being to get so joyful and excited over it that I feel peace with it. I enjoy the rain. The thing about rain is that we can't control when it comes or when it doesn't we have to make plans around it because nature doesn't make plans around us. As Noah built the ark he wasn't making plans for when he thought was best he was making plans for when the rain would come. He spent over one hundred years building the boat. It wasn't something that happened overnight, Noah was faithful even without a sign of rain. We must be faithful to God even when there isn't a sign of what He promised. Faith is believing without seeing, Noah has done just that in the entire story. He was faithful to what God asked him to do, he built an ark with no sign of rain. Is your faith strong enough to build what God has asked you to with no sign of it? Today, make that step and proceed to do what God has asked you to do even if you don't see the progress you want yet. You will soon see the blessings pour like rain and you will be so thankful you didn't give up on God! Here are some verses to reflect on today. “When everything was ready, the Lord said to Noah, “Go into the boat with all your family, for among all the people of the earth, I can see that you alone are righteous.” Genesis‬ ‭7:1‬ ‭ “So Noah did everything exactly as God had commanded him.” Genesis‬ ‭6:22‬ “Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.” Hebrews‬ ‭11:1‬ ‭“Ask the Lord for rain in the spring, for he makes the storm clouds. And he will send showers of rain so every field becomes a lush pasture.”Zechariah‬ ‭10:1‬

We must have Faith to trust God when he calls us to do something knowing that he'll see us through it for a great outcome.

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
