God First And Foremost.

“He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less.” John‬ ‭3:30‬ ‭

When we let God become the person we want to talk to when we're bored and talk to about anything including our day, and most of all become our best friend that is when we begin to grow to our full potential. When God is your "go-to" person, you have a person that will "go through" everything with you! You don't have to rely on anyone except God! When God is your Father and your Friend above everyone else you begin to see all the other things in your life flourish. When we become close to God we begin to change from our old selves into new, cleansed, and better versions of ourselves. God takes the dirty parts of us and makes us clean again. It's not just about becoming close to God it's also about allowing Him to change you. God is all you will ever need! Your life focus should be on becoming the best version of yourself, that being what God wants for you. We will never succeed in life without holding God closer than anyone else. Today, make sure that God is your best friend because that is when life truly begins for us! We cannot be the person we are meant to be and live the best life for us without God being the first thing in our lives. God is a jealous God and wants no one or nothing else above Him and we should give Him our all! Here are some verses to reflect on today. “You must worship no other gods, for the Lord, whose very name is Jealous, is a God who is jealous about his relationship with you.” Exodus‬ ‭34:14‬ ‭ “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” Matthew‬ ‭6:33‬ ‭ “Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’” Matthew‬ ‭22:37‬ ‭ “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.” Proverbs‬ ‭3:5‬ ‭

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
