God Knows What You Need.

“Fear of the Lord leads to life, bringing security and protection from harm.” Proverbs‬ ‭19:23‬ ‭

Today as I sat in the living room I broke something and had to super glue it back together, I then laid it on a side table to let it dry properly. As I let it dry our cats came up and jumped on the table, I told her to get down out of fear she would get in the super glue it would hurt her. In a few minutes, she jumped back up and told her once again to get down. She loves to nap on the side table. This illustration might seem silly to some, but it spoke to me. How often do we go back to something God tells us to lay down or let go of? We always think that when God takes something away it's to punish us, instead, sometimes it's to protect us from harm. God sometimes allows people and things to not work out for us and us to be pushed away so that we can be all He has called us to be. If God has taken something away that you thought you needed remind yourself that it doesn't mean you can't ever have it back, and it also doesn't mean that you have done something wrong, it's to protect you. I heard someone once say that sometimes God puts up a roadblock in our life to let evil pass ahead of us. Today, if you feel as if you're at a roadblock in life or if something you wanted was taken away, or if you feel like you can't get something you want right now, know that God has a plan for this, He still is in control. It doesn't mean forever, let God provide the things you need because He knows what you need and what will hurt you in the end. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭91:4‬ ‭ “They will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.” Psalms‬ ‭91:12‬ ‭ “When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them.” Psalms‬ ‭91:15‬ ‭
