An Eternity To Pay.

“But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!” Revelation‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭

Being a lukewarm Christian is a scary thing to be, it's somewhere that some of us end up and others never want to go. It's when you know you have drifted into the world but choose to stay where you are and continue to try and please God without accepting that you need to change your choices. Being lukewarm is a terrifying place to be because you're in the in-between. God never intended for us to have to endure knowing about sin and death or even to face it, but when Adam and Eve chose to fall into sin it caused us all knowledge of sin from then on. We each have a choice to do what is right or to do what is wrong, if we continue down the path we know to be right and focus on what God tells us then we will have an eternity in Heaven, but if we choose to cave to our sinful nature and do what our flesh wants we will have an eternity in hell. If you think the things you have faced in life are hard and hurtful imagine how hell will be. Hell is the absence of God which means the absence of peace, comfort, joy, hope, strength, patience, contentment, and love because all those things are from God. He is our very breath every day all day. Today, if you know you are caving and doing as your sinful nature wishes turn from your sin and repent while you still have time to do so, you don't have forever so you need to choose which you will serve God or the world and remind yourself that the wrong choice is an eternity to pay and that is far too much for us to afford. Here are some verses to reflect on today. ““I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other!” Revelation‬ ‭3:15‬ ‭ “Wash me clean from my guilt. Purify me from my sin.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭51:2‬ ‭ “Turn from evil and do good, and you will live in the land forever.” Psalms‬ ‭37:27‬ ‭ “And this is what he says to all humanity: ‘The fear of the Lord is true wisdom; to forsake evil is real understanding.’”” Job‬ ‭28:28‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
