Be Faithful While You Wait.

“Boaz went over and said to Ruth, “Listen, my daughter. Stay right here with us when you gather grain; don’t go to any other fields. Stay right behind the young women working in my field.” ‭‭Ruth‬ ‭2:8‬ ‭

This verse in Ruth shows her steadfast faithfulness. She stayed where God and Boaz told her to even when it meant not returning to her family, she had also just lost her father-in-law, brother-in-law, and husband. Instead of going home to her family, she told her mother-in-law, Naomi, "Wherever you go, I will go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God." Ruth was faithful to God and her people even when life seemed unfaithful to her. The story goes on to her meeting Boaz, and marrying Him. From her lineage came King David. Ruth's love story has inspired many people to wait on the one. See what we notice is that she found love and she found the one meant for her, what we don't focus on is the pain she faced before she did and we also haven't focused on her faithfulness to God before she found the one. If you're in the waiting remind yourself that the pain you are facing cannot compare to the joy soon to come. When God designs the person for you it is all you want or need. You will find that person when the time is right, but until then you need to be faithful to those around you and realize that the pain will not last forever. Today, waiting on a person for you or waiting for something no matter what it is choose to be faithful to God and what He tells you to do because it will always be best for you. You are going to see what God has for you is more than you could have even asked for. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “But Ruth replied, “Don’t ask me to leave you and turn back. Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God.” ‭‭Ruth‬ ‭1:16‬ ‭ “Obed was the father of Jesse. Jesse was the father of David.” Ruth‬ ‭4:22‬ ‭ “Now I am glad I sent it, not because it hurt you, but because the pain caused you to repent and change your ways. It was the kind of sorrow God wants his people to have, so you were not harmed by us in any way.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭7:9‬ ‭ “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” Ephesians‬ ‭3:20‬ ‭
