His Grace Is Sufficient!

“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.” Ephesians‬ ‭2:8‬ ‭

We each spend so much time trying to be perfect before we pray and go to church, but we have to remind ourselves that God knows we are a work in progress. Let's think back on the story of the woman at the well. Jesus went up to her and told her she was living with a man that was not her husband. Jesus never went to that well for water, He went to the well for her. He didn't go to her when she had her entire life put together and was out of her sin, He came to her where she was although everyone else was judgemental of her and shamed her. You have to stop feeling ashamed of the sin in your life and go to God from the place you are now. I heard a saying once say you don't go to the shower clean to get washed so why would you come to God without sin to be baptized? You come to God for Him to cleanse you not to be perfect when you get there. God meets us where we are not where we want to be in life. Let God lead you and guide you, the things you know are wrong stray from the sin, and teach yourself to not do it. God cleanses us when we come to Him but in order to come to Him you have to remind yourself that you're not perfect and you won't ever be but His grace is sufficient for you! Today, take all your sins and mistakes to God lay them at His feet, and let Him renew and restore you. You're only cleansed by the precious blood of Jesus! “So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” Hebrews‬ ‭4:16‬ ‭ “for you have had five husbands, and you aren’t even married to the man you’re living with now. You certainly spoke the truth!”” John‬ ‭4:18‬ ‭ “But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” 1 John‬ ‭1:9‬ ‭ “Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.” Psalms‬ ‭51:7‬ ‭
