It Will Happen Suddenly.
“Jesus responded, “Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!” Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm.” Matthew 8:26
We've all heard the saying the calm before the storm. As storms came through my area today, I was reminded of the story of Jesus calming the storm. As you can see this verse says that after the storm stopped there was suddenly a great calm but if you go to the first of the story it says it suddenly struck. Whatever you're facing in your life right now that suddenly happened to you is not going to last forever, once God calms that storm that is in your life there will suddenly a great calm. Notice that it says suddenly, the things that God is going to do for you will happen suddenly, there will be no warning for the wonderful things. Hold on to that promise because God will do it. God is at work for you at this exact moment. When you come through what you're going through know that when you're through it your life will become so calm and peaceful. I remember when I went through a really tough time in my life before that suddenly happened, God suddenly turned it around and He blessed me with a miracle, peace, and joy. When God steps in and calms the storm He doesn't stop there He adds blessings and adds a feeling of peace to your life. Today, don't focus on the storm focus on the joy, peace, and blessings after the storm ends. Stop stressing so much, if God calmed the storm on the lake He will definitely calm the storm of your life. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Suddenly, a fierce storm struck the lake, with waves breaking into the boat. But Jesus was sleeping.”Matthew 8:24 ““Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.”” Psalms 46:10 “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians 4:6 ““I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” John 14:27
