The Future Isn't So Scary.

“She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.” Proverbs‬ ‭31:25‬ ‭

Have you ever been driving or riding in a car with someone when the fog was so much that you could barely see 2 feet in front of you? Most people get nervous driving in the intense fog because you never know what is ahead. That's kind of how life is we don't know what is ahead of us so we are fearful of what we cannot see. The Bible has a verse that can calm us in this sense of not knowing what is ahead, the verse is Hebrews 11:1, it says for us to believe even when we cannot see, that is what faith is. If we put all of our faith in God then we will never have a reason to fear. God doesn't wait until the last minute for us but He waits for the right time. Today, if you're fearful of the future remember the verse this blog is based on. We have to be fearless of the future and laugh without fear knowing that God hasn't forgotten us and never will. He will always protect and encourage us. We are never alone and we are never forgotten. God has got you, just because you can't see what is ahead doesn't mean that God doesn't already have it figured out. The future isn't so scary after all when you remember that God holds it. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭ “You can go to bed without fear; you will lie down and sleep soundly.” Proverbs‬ ‭3:24‬ ‭ “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” Isaiah‬ ‭41:10‬ ‭ “Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” Proverbs‬ ‭3:6‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
