Thirst No More.

“Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.” Galatians‬ ‭1:10‬ ‭

You are a child of the One True King so stop trying to act, dress and talk like the world and start to act, dress and talk like you're a child of the One True King. Stop trying to impress the world and win their approval because all that ends up giving you nothing for its approval but God's approval gives you everything including a Heavenly home for all of eternity. We often times try to fill the void in our hearts of approval through social media, popularity, intelligence, and even acceptance from those around us. The Bible teaches us that true wisdom is found in God, we know that His approval is what truly will satisfy our hearts. Think about the story in the Bible of the woman at the well she was trying to satisfy her thirst from the earthly water, but Jesus told her He had water that would never make her thirsty again. If we let God fill those voids in our hearts then we will never hunger for approval again. Let God fill the void for approval instead of the world. Today, remind yourself and train your mind to know that gaining everything in this world and of the world is not worth losing your soul. God will fill your cup so much that it will overflow and you will never want more. When God approves the world doesn't matter anymore. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?”Matthew‬ ‭16:26‬ ‭ “For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.” Hebrews‬ ‭4:12‬ “But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.”” John‬ ‭4:14‬ ‭ “For they loved human praise more than the praise of God.” John‬ ‭12:43‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
