Your Circle Matters!

“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” Isaiah‬ ‭40:31‬ ‭

God oftentimes changes our circle so that He can change our lives. I heard a preacher once say that you can't walk with the chickens and fly with the eagles. If you spend your entire life surrounded by the wrong people you will never end up where you're meant to be. It's like a baby bird, if the mother doesn't push it out of the nest it will never learn to fly, God sometimes has to push our circle away from us for us to become who we are meant to be. The people that we surround ourselves with matter because it does affect who we are and who we become. We each have free will and some people choose to use it the wrong way, which is why if you're called by God and want to live the right way you cannot constantly be surrounded by those who don't. The right people will inspire you, uplift you, pray with and for you and always be there for you. Today, if God is or has removed someone from your circle trust in Him because the people meant for your life will help you soar like God has called you to do. You are going to become all that you are meant to just trust God with the process and who is meant to be in your circle and be cautious of who you choose to be your friends. Here are some verses to reflect on today.  “There are “friends” who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother.” Proverbs‬ ‭18:24‬ ‭ “You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.” John‬ ‭15:16‬ ‭ “Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness?” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭6:14‬ ‭“Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.” Philippians‬ ‭2:3‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
