Chase God, Not The World.
“But God removed Saul and replaced him with David, a man about whom God said, ‘I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart. He will do everything I want him to do.’” Acts of the Apostles 13:22
When God chose David to be king He didn't look at the amount of money he had, how many possessions he had, or what his enemies, friends, or family thought of him, instead the Bible says that God looked at his heart. See David was a man after God's own heart, he wasn't chasing money, fame, satisfaction, pleasure, happiness, love, or anything else in this world instead he was chasing God. I read a quote once that said, "Chase God and the right person for you will catch up because they will be chasing Him as much as you are." That's how it is in any situation in life, chase God until the job you need finds you, until the right friends catch up, the money you need, the car you need, or anything else that you need. When you spend your time chasing God, then God uses that time to make sure the things you need find you! Today, stop chasing things of this world and chases God, when you get where you need to be in your relationship with God material things will find you from His blessings. The Bible says and your cup will overflow! Get ready for an overflow when you chase God instead of the world. God blessed David and appointed Him king, and God will bless you in the same way if your heart is focused on Him. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:9 “Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me.” Psalms 51:10 “But I, the Lord, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve.”” Jeremiah 17:10 “A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart.” Luke 6:45
