Fully Cleansed.

“Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭51:7‬ ‭

Don't spend so much time looking at your past when your future is what is ahead. The enemy wants you to be completely distraught by the thought of your past and use that as a way to get into your head, but that isn't the case with God. God knew you would make mistakes and would sin, that is why He sent His one and only Son to cleanse us of those sins and to be washed clean. I love the saying, "Don't look back, you're not going that way." It's true, that isn't where you're headed. What's ahead of you is so much better than what is behind you. It doesn't talk about this in the Bible but imagine how Adam and Eve felt even years later after making the mistake of eating from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil after God told them not to. They had a heavy past as do most people in the Bible even and everyone almost today. No one is perfect, or ever will be that is why the one perfect person to ever walked the earth saved us from those sins. We are no longer bound to the sin that once had its hold on us. Today, thank God for saving you and cleansing you white as snow. You are not a slave to sin anymore! Jesus has freed you from your past, now look forward to the future with Jesus in it! Here are some verses to reflect on today. “And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.” Romans‬ ‭8:2‬ ‭ “Now you are free from your slavery to sin, and you have become slaves to righteous living.” Romans‬ ‭6:18‬ ‭ “When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the obligation to do right.”Romans‬ ‭6:20‬ ‭ “Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.” Romans‬ ‭3:24‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
