God’s Purpose Will Prevail!
“You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.” Proverbs 19:21
God's plan doesn't just lead you to good things, blessings, joy, and hope most of all it leads you to your purpose. Look at the story of Joesph who got sold but later became second in command, Esther who became queen and saved all the Jews, Jonah in the belly of the whale who then saved all of Ninvah, and even Jesus who saved us from death. All of those stories show that sometimes you have to go through hard times to get to your purpose but you have to hold on to faith and hold on to letting God lead the way for you to get there. Nothing in life comes easy is what I've always heard but as I've thought more on it oftentimes it's true. God doesn't make our lives perfect but He is always with us, always strengthens us, and always gives us a way out. He has a plan and a purpose for us. Never doubt that. When you need a reminder of it look in the Bible and read about those who struggled to get to their purpose. It's like planting a seed, you can plant it and things can try to hinder it from growing but eventually, if you take care of it then it will grow. God takes care of us and we eventually grow into the people we are meant to be. Today, remind yourself that your purpose is still to come and God has got all things under control. Your battles are not what last but what you grow and learn from them do last. God's purpose will come to pass just as it did in those stories in the Bible. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” Romans 8:28 “For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus.” 2 Timothy 1:9 “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 “You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.”Genesis 50:20
