Hearing God Clearly.
“Anyone who belongs to God listens gladly to the words of God. But you don’t listen because you don’t belong to God.”” John 8:47
The voice that needs to be the most clear to you is God's voice, because what He says is what matters. It doesn't matter what your friends have to say, what your co-workers have to say, what your significant other has to say, or what anyone else in this world has to say because what God says is final. The person that you're to answer to and listen to at all times is God. God is the one person in this world who will never intentionally or unintentionally lead you astray. God is the only person who knows what the future holds because He is the one who holds it. Your time spent listening to God will never lead you to disappointment. God prepares us for what He calls us to do. It's hard to hear God when you have the wrong voices echoing in your ear and all around you, that is why it is so important to choose your friends wisely. You can be a friend to someone and not let their voice have a ruling over your life. If you are having a hard time hearing God's voice maybe try spending some time alone to pray. The Bible says to go into a room alone and pray. God can talk to you anywhere in this world, and with you being around anyone but that is if you're listening clearly. You cannot expect to fully understand God when you've got too many voices around you. I have even started turning off my phone, tv, and anything that would distract me when I spend time in prayer because prayer isn't about me saying what I need to it's also about listening to what God has to say to me. Today, make sure you're removing all distractions when you spend time in prayer because hearing what God has to say to you is so important. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.” Matthew 6:6 “Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left.” Isaiah 30:21 “Never stop praying.” 1 Thessalonians 5:17 “Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.” Ephesians 6:18
