7 Days, A Week.

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭

Sometimes we get into a cycle of only praying when we need something. God isn't a genie, we can't go to Him when we have a wish or something we need. God is someone who never fails to be there for us and answer our prayers no matter what. Think of prayer as a talk with a friend because that is exactly what it is. You can talk to God in prayer driving down the road, sitting in your bed, at church, on the couch, at the dinner table, at school, and anywhere you want. There are no certain places you have to pray at, God is everywhere all at the same time. He isn't someone who you call and doesn't pick up, He is never too busy to listen or help you. I have learned the best way to make my relationship with God grow is to make sure that He is above my friends, family, and all relationships. The amount of effort and love we put into any kind of relationship should never be more than what effort we put into our relationship with God. Today, make sure that you are fully chasing after God and not just going to Him when you need something.  The Bible says that we have to pick up our cross daily. Going to church and praying on Sunday isn't enough for a true relationship with God, it's truly a 7-day-a-week commitment. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Never stop praying.”‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭ “Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.” Ephesians‬ ‭6:18‬ ‭ “But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!” John‬ ‭15:7‬ ‭ “If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine.”Matthew‬ ‭10:38‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
