God's Strength Through You.

“For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” Philippians‬ ‭4:13‬ ‭

Most of the stories in the Bible come from people who had to take courage and put their faith into action. Think of the woman at the well it took courage for her to talk to Jesus out of fear of judgment, Noah was to build an ark for himself and his family and to be the only people left on this earth, Daniel in the lion's den not only in with the lions but with them being hungry, Moses at the Red sea to cross it while being chased, and even Ruth who left her family and stayed with her mother-in-law and had just lost her husband and father in law. What I'm getting at is that whatever you are facing that is taking courage and faith to do it will someday be a testimony, and you will be able to tell of God's goodness and strength that brought you through it. Today, if you faced a difficult situation remind yourself that God is using it for your good, the courage you take to overcome things will one day show God's strength through you just as it is done in the Bible to those people. The things they went through didn't show weakness in them, it showed God's strength to work through them and their faith into turned into action. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭12:9‬ ‭ “But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” Isaiah‬ ‭40:31‬ ‭ “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” Isaiah‬ ‭41:10‬ ‭ “God is my strong fortress, and he makes my way perfect.” 2 Samuel‬ ‭22:33‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
