Keep Your Eyes On Him.

“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” John‬ ‭10:10‬ ‭

If you keep your eyes on things of the world and the world your relationship with God will begin to sink. See when our focus is on the world we begin to drift from God without even truly realizing it, we start to give in to our sinful desires and before we know it we will be where we said we wouldn't be again. My mom has always said a saying that I understood later on in life that being, "Sin will take you further than you want to go." When you think about it the more you realize it is true. The Bible says that the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy. That being said when you think about it why would his limit be to only get you to tell a little white lie once and a while, he wants to destroy our lives and our relationship with God. He is miserable and wants us to be that way too. Jesus came so we can have eternal life, and we can be free from sin. The Bible says there is always a way out from our temptations. Today if you feel tempted to do something you know isn't right then ask God to show you the way out, and He will! He went through temptation also, He didn't give in or never sinned. He is the one person who knows exactly how to make a way out for you. Your heart and soul matter to Him more than you know, He is ready to listen to anything you want to tell Him. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.” Romans‬ ‭8:5‬ ‭ “Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away.” James‬ ‭1:14‬ ‭ “There he told them, “Pray that you will not give in to temptation.”” Luke‬ ‭22:40‬ ‭ “The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭10:13‬ ‭
