What’s Meant For You!

“We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.” Proverbs‬ ‭16:9‬ ‭

When we see things we want, things we dream of, and things we want to do and achieve we oftentimes want to take things into our own hands and make things happen. The Bible says that we can make our plans but the Lord will determine our steps. We shouldn't ever make things happen because what God has for us will always find us, and happen. Think about Joesph, He was sold by his own brothers, but at the end of the story, he became the second in command. God doesn't let the things we go through change the destination of where we are headed to. Today, whatever you are dreaming to achieve don't try to force the outcome, pray and ask God to guide you to the right place at the right time if that is what is for you, if not He will give you something better. Whatever dream you have don't force but rather work towards it and if it is meant to be yours it will happen. God will bless you either way. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11 “Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.” Proverbs‬ ‭16:3‬ ‭ “The Lord detests evil plans, but he delights in pure words.” Proverbs‬ ‭15:26‬ ‭ “You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.” Genesis‬ ‭50:20‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
