Where To Begin.
“Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.”James 4:8
Sometimes we slip off the right path with God, and finding our way back to that relationship with Him is hard. I often thought of writing this to help others with what I struggled to find. I found myself drifting from God and needing a way back but I didn't know where to start. When we want to grow a relationship with God we have to begin with a foundation, and the best foundation for the relationship is faith, and knowing His word. When you want to renew your faith to build your faith you need to remind yourself through His word of the amazing things He has done. Your relationship with God is only as close as you want it to be. We all have a choice to follow God or not, but that choice we choose to make comes with a price. If you choose to follow Him it is a free pass into eternity and your salvation, but if you choose not to you will pay that price for all of eternity. Putting off getting close to God only last for so long until you don't have a choice anymore, you have to choose now while you still have the chance to. God is only waiting for you. The Bible says that when you come close to God He will come close to you. Today, if you feel like God is a million miles away from you start the foundation of your relationship with Him by praying, reading the Word, and building your faith in God. Your relationship with God is only one step away and He hasn't forgotten you from the moment you were formed in your mother's womb. Where to begin the relationship is in His word learning about why you serve Him and the things He has done, I learned that following His life shows the example He set for us to live. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth.” Psalms 145:18 “So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7 “Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” John 14:6 “But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!” Revelation 3:16
