Your Obedience Matters!

“Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him. “You have so little faith,” Jesus said. “Why did you doubt me?”” Matthew‬ ‭14:31‬ ‭

I read a quote today that said, "God told Noah to go into the boat, but He told Peter to get out of the boat. Different storms oftentimes require different levels of obedience." See when we face a storm it's oftentimes more about obedience than it is about what we are going through. God doesn't test us, but I do believe that when we go through rough times He wants to see how we react to them. See Noah was obedient and that was because of his faith in God, and Peter stepped out of the boat by his faith. See when we are in a storm we oftentimes want a way out, but have you ever thought that the way out of the storm that you're facing is to prove your obedience to God? Today, if you're in the middle of a storm in your life prove your obedience to God. When He asks you to do something do it without questions, with faith and do it because you know He will never fail you or lead you astray. God never sends a storm to destroy us, instead, He lets us grow and learn from the storm. Be obedient to God because He cares for you, and He will always reach out a hand in the storm to hold you up if your eyes are fixed on Him. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage. I am here!”” Matthew‬ ‭14:27‬ ‭ “It was by faith that Noah built a large boat to save his family from the flood. He obeyed God, who warned him about things that had never happened before. By his faith Noah condemned the rest of the world, and he received the righteousness that comes by faith.” Hebrews‬ ‭11:7‬ ‭ “Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.” Hebrews‬ ‭11:1‬ ‭ “But those who obey God’s word truly show how completely they love him. That is how we know we are living in him.” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭2:5‬ ‭
