From Lukewarm To Dedication.

““I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other!” Revelation‬ ‭3:15‬ ‭

We all talk about how we can become a lukewarm Christian but have you ever talked about or been told how to stop being one? The first thing I think to do is to acknowledge that you're one. Signs of that to me, personally, are when I begin to forget to do my nightly prayer journal for a few days, not read my Bible at least once a day, and not spend at least one day of the week alone in prayer. Those are things I personally pick up on when I begin to drift from God. We all do our walk with God differently. To get back where I felt the most fired up for God for me is to remind myself of the things He has done for me, the things He brought me out of, and the things He has promised me. Then I begin to start to read the Bible and take time to be alone with God, in a quiet place. When you begin to make an effort to change God notices. He will be so thankful you realized where you went wrong and begin to fix it. Today, if you feel that you've begun to become a lukewarm Christian take time to pray and seek God again, even if it's only for a few minutes. God is only as close as you will allow Him to be to you, stand up for what you need in your walk with God. When you want to build a friendship you have to learn to communicate with that person, it's the same way with God, you need to learn how to communicate with God because He is your friend. Here are some verses to reflect on today. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!” Revelation‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭ “Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.”James‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭ “But as for me, how good it is to be near God! I have made the Sovereign Lord my shelter, and I will tell everyone about the wonderful things you do.” Psalms‬ ‭73:28‬ ‭ “I cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfill his purpose for me.” Psalms‬ ‭57:2‬ ‭
