Spread The Gospel Not Gossip!

“A gossip goes around telling secrets, so don’t hang around with chatterers.” Proverbs‬ ‭20:19‬ ‭

So many people get so caught up in listening to gossip and rumors that they forget the Bible tells us to stay away from it and those who do it. We all have the ability to push ourselves out of the situations of being told gossip and things but we choose not to. If only the Gospel spread as fast as gossip wouldn't the world be a better place. If there is one thing in this world I've learned the person who is always gossiping ends up gossiping about you when you aren't around. You cannot choose to surround yourself with people who gossip when you're meant to spread the Gospel. When you start focusing more on talking about things of God and your thoughts being focused on Him then the Gospel will be the new gossip for you. The way you used to want to talk about all the new gossip you will switch that to wanting to talk about God in every conversation you possibly can. Let the Gospel become your new gossip that you cannot hear enough or tell enough of. Today, replace gossip with the words of God, spread it everywhere you go and to everyone you see that is what God has called each of us to do. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.” Ephesians‬ ‭4:29‬ ‭ “Avoid worthless, foolish talk that only leads to more godless behavior.” 2 Timothy‬ ‭2:16‬ ‭ “Don’t speak evil against each other, dear brothers and sisters. If you criticize and judge each other, then you are criticizing and judging God’s law. But your job is to obey the law, not to judge whether it applies to you.” James‬ ‭4:11‬ ‭ “And I want you to know, my dear brothers and sisters, that everything that has happened to me here has helped to spread the Good News.” Philippians‬ ‭1:12‬ ‭
