Use It For Good!

“You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.” Genesis‬ ‭50:20‬

From the beginning of time our first instinct has been to hide when we sin, and to hide the sins within us. God never intended for us to do that, If He wanted us to hide our sins and be afraid of coming forward to Him about the mistakes we have made then there would be no reason for Him to forgive us. His forgiveness is not based on things of this world, His forgiveness is based on His compassion, love and Jesus’ sacrifice for us! When we were kids and would do something wrong we would hide from our parents, we would fear they would be mad at us. We often times bring that with us as we grow up. We begin to hide from God out of fear of disappointment, and un-forgiveness from Him. God never intends for us to be perfect, but He does intend for us to be the best people and Christians that we can be. We should wake up everyday praising Him for all that He has done for us and continues to do! Think of the story of Joseph, his brothers sold him and he went though torment, the Bible says what the enemy meant for evil God used it for good! When the enemy tries to drag you down, tempt you into sin know that what the enemy is intending for evil, God will use it for good! God will turn your sin into a testimony of what chains can be broken, God will use you as an example of His forgiveness and compassion towards us. No matter what the mistake you’ve made come to God and ask for His forgiveness! Stop carrying guilt when God has already forgiven you! You are not defined by your mistakes! Tell others what you’ve overcome and been freed from and show them God can do it for them too! You’re a testimony of the sin you have overcome by the grace of God! Here are some verses to reflect on today! “But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” 1 John‬ ‭1:9‬ ‭ “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” Romans‬ ‭3:23‬ ‭ “Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away.” James‬ ‭1:14‬ ‭ “If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth.” 1 John‬ ‭1:8‬ ‭
