Waiting Isn't A Waste.
“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms 27:14
Something most of us struggle with is waiting. Waiting can be the hardest thing for us to do at times. I have learned that when I take things into my own hands and don't ask God if something is right for me, it either fails or breaks my heart. Waiting is something you will never regret. I spent almost 3 years waiting on something one time, in the end, God gave me something I didn't even think of, it wasn't the exact thing I was waiting on but it was better. Sometimes we have to come to a place where we ask God, Am I doing all that I can possibly do in this season of waiting, or Is there something I need to change. I love the saying, "Sometimes God doesn't change what you're asking Him to change because He was trying to change your heart." That is what God has done for me, He changed my heart to want something different than what I was praying for. I was stubborn about it at first, I tried to mutilate things to have the outcome I wanted, but soon I realized that it wasn't what I needed, it was only what I wanted. We need clothes, food, a relationship with God, and people to encourage us. We don't need a big house, the most fancy car, or things that are earthly. Today, whatever you're waiting on in this season ask God to show you what you need to do in the waiting, and what you need to change. Sometimes when you decide to change your heart, God will open the door. Be patient, forgiving, loving, and caring towards others in this time because maybe this time is about building the person you need to become. Waiting on something from God is never a waste of time, He always has something better for you after the season of waiting. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 “Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you.” Psalms 37:5 “Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” Proverbs 3:6 “And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.” Romans 5:4
