Your Pace Is Okay!

“But if you do what is wrong, you will be paid back for the wrong you have done. For God has no favorites.”Colossians‬ ‭3:25‬ 

‭So many times we compare our lives to others and become discouraged when we aren't on the same pace that they are. I used to always feel behind everyone and like my life was moving in slow motion until I realized that maybe the timing I was on was made to be different than everyone else's. God has no favorites the Bible says. If you feel discouraged because many are in their harvest season and you're only in the season of planting then know that your harvest will come, at the right time. We couldn't always be in the same season as everyone or life wouldn't be full of ups and downs. We are meant to uplift others and for them to do the same for us. Today, focus on now. Don't watch what pace everyone else is going at make sure that you're more focused on what God is doing for you and not so much on others' harvest. You will never be able to have the best crop if you're constantly watching and watering everyone else's. Focus on what God has for you and yourself. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” Galatians‬ ‭6:9‬ ‭ “And I know that whatever God does is final. Nothing can be added to it or taken from it. God’s purpose is that people should fear him.” Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3:14‬ ‭ “For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.” Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3:1‬ ‭ “Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.” Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3:11‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
