Stand Up For God!

Have you ever noticed that Christianity is one of the most mocked and hated religions? The world accepts it although if it were other religions everyone would stand with them and take up for them. I've thought about how Christians are automatically judged for what they think we are. One of the key things in being a Christian is to love and treat others the way that we would want to be treated. We do that and although we try our best to be so kind and loving towards everyone they still choose to look past it and mock our God! The Bible says that when the world hates you remind yourself that it hated Him first. Today, if you are mocked for being a Christian remind yourself of how Jesus was mocked, beaten, betrayed, and even killed but you know what He said? "Father forgive them because they do not know what they are doing." Even when His heart was broken by the way they treated Him, He still chose love and kindness with forgiveness towards them. When the world hates you remember it hated Him first. When you stand up for God, He stands up for you, and when God stands up for you no one can stand against you. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “God paid a high price for you, so don’t be enslaved by the world.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭7:23‬ ‭ ““Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.”” Psalms‬ ‭46:10‬ ‭ “The soldiers mocked him, too, by offering him a drink of sour wine.” Luke‬ ‭23:36‬ ‭ “Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” And the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice.” Luke‬ ‭23:34‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
