The Battle Belongs To God!

“The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.”‭‭Exodus‬ ‭14:14‬ ‭

Being silent during a battle is difficult. I used to want to scream at the enemy when I was going through a spiritual battle. God will fight the battles for us if we only trust Him. When writing about this the story of David and Goliath came to me. David only had a stone and a slingshot, and Goliath was a giant. God won that battle through David. Never doubt what God can do when you are in a battle. Think about this, when you're trying to do something you don't need someone else to do exactly what you're doing, you need them to do what you can't do. God doesn't need us to do His job of winning the battle for Him, He needs us to be like David a stand-in, and let Him work through us. Today, teach yourself to do what you can and leave the rest up to God. He knows what we are capable of and what part He can do for us. Showing your faith in God is frequently by doing your part in what you can do. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” Ephesians‬ ‭6:12‬ “Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.” Ephesians‬ ‭6:13 “A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.” Ephesians‬ ‭6:10‬ ‭ “The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but the victory belongs to the Lord.”Proverbs‬ ‭21:31‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
