The Real End Goal!
“Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.” James 4:17
Living life to the fullest might seem fun for a moment but would it be fun enough to spend an eternity in hell? Having fun is okay when you choose to do it in the right ways and with the right people. God knows we aren't going to be perfect, but He wants us to try to do things right. The Bible teaches us that when we know what to do and don't do it it is a sin. Jesus' blood was sent to cover our sins but not to be taken advantage of. When we have a choice to do things right we should try our best to do right. You cannot let living life to the fullest become more important than the end goal, that being eternity. When God gives us a choice to spend eternity with Him, He also gives us free will to choose which paths to take in life. Make sure what you're choosing to be in your life, who you're surrounding yourself with, and the things you're doing are good because nothing is worth losing heaven over. Today, remind yourself that life isn't something that can be changed once you're gone, while you're here is the only time you have to choose what you want to do for God and to work for that eternity in heaven. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Think carefully about what is right, and stop sinning. For to your shame I say that some of you don’t know God at all.” 1 Corinthians 15:34 “But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ.” 1 John 2:27 ““From eternity to eternity I am God. No one can snatch anyone out of my hand. No one can undo what I have done.”” Isaiah 43:13 “So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.” 2 Corinthians 4:18
