True Peace!

“Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians‬ ‭4:7‬ ‭

Peace is something we all search for and need, God's peace is the only peace that will ever last. When we search for peace in life we oftentimes turn to the world for it, which is the kind of peace that lasts for only a moment. The true peace that comes from God lasts a lifetime. Each of us carries stress in our lives and things we deal with but the best way for us to deal with the baggage we carry is to ask God to give us the peace to deal with things beyond our control. When the worries and stress of life come like waves, we have a Savior who walks on water. He can give you the peace you're searching for. Today, if you're looking for peace in your life the map for it is very simple, It's God! Ask God to give you His peace that we cannot even understand. When life feels tough, God can give you the peace that you need. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”” John‬ ‭16:33‬ ‭ “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!” Isaiah‬ ‭26:3‬ ‭ ““I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” John‬ ‭14:27‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
