What Jesus Wants You To Be!
“You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.” 1 Peter 3:4
Are you following Jesus are the world? The world will make you focus on how many friends you have, how many followers on social media, how you dress, and all the outward appearance things. Don't get me wrong it's good to look nice, but the Bible teaches us to focus on our inward beauty. If we are the prettiest or most handsome person on the outside but are empty on the inside what good does it make? We all have insecurities and things we would change about ourselves, but sometimes the best thing to change is our inward selves. The parts of us that matter when we talk, when we love, or when we tell others about God. If someone is rude all the time and then turns around and tells you about God you question how can they act that way when they truly know God. If we are close to God our inward appearance changes, we begin to love others without measure, be kind to everyone, and be full of the fruits of the spirit. We have to learn to be what Jesus wants us to be not what the world wants to see! Jesus is what truly matters in our lives. Today, focus on your inward beauty to be the person He has called you to be! Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes.”1 Peter 3:3 “Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.” Proverbs 31:30 “But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,” Galatians 5:22 “gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!” Galatians 5:23
