Christmas Everyday.
“We love each other because he loved us first.” 1 John 4:19
It's the feeling of Christmas every time you let the love of Jesus shine through you. Often we think that showing love and kindness doesn't amount to much, but in reality, that could be the only time in someone's life that they experience anything to do with Jesus. Not everyone grows up with the advantage of parents who take them to church, tell them about Jesus, or even hear about Him at all, sometimes the smallest gesture to share the gospel is the first time someone has heard it and truly felt His love through someone. I grew up knowing and loving Jesus, but throughout my life, I've met those who weren't as lucky as I was, they didn't grow up hearing about Him in Sunday school and then choosing to have a relationship with Him on my own, they grew up in bad situations and never heard stories from the Bible. Everyone you meet is someone you can help bring to Christ or encourage them to continue their walk with God. Today, remind yourself that Christmas isn't one day a year when the reason we celebrate lives and shows His love through us. You are a vessel for God when you choose to talk about Him and love without measure. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “So they worshiped him and then returned to Jerusalem filled with great joy.” Luke 24:52 “And there was great joy throughout the church that day as they read this encouraging message.” Acts of the Apostles 15:31 “But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” 1 John 4:8 “Love means doing what God has commanded us, and he has commanded us to love one another, just as you heard from the beginning.” 2 John 1:6
