Let God Transform You!

“Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.” Proverbs‬ ‭4:23‬ ‭

You cannot expect your relationship with God to change if you're not ready to change your heart. Becoming close to God doesn't just consist of reading your Bible, praying, and being a good person it's about surrendering to God. If you cannot surrender your heart, soul, mind, spirit, and all the things you think you want and let God transform you into all you can be then you will never be as close to God as you can be. When you open your heart to be changed by God, you become a better version of yourself. You cannot have a full relationship with God if you are unwilling to change. Change is the biggest part of becoming a Christian, you have to let go of the old ways and things you used to do in order to become a new you. Today, surrender to God all that you are and watch as He changes you into all that you are meant to be, He will transform your heart into someone patient and kind that shines His light everywhere you go. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me.” Psalms‬ ‭51:10‬ ‭ “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans‬ ‭12:2‬ ‭ “So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor.” 1 Peter‬ ‭5:6‬ ‭ “Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me.” Luke‬ ‭9:23‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
